A forgiveness prayer
A dear friend of mine shared this with me and I dearly love having a way for me to continue my journey of forgiveness…for myself and for others.
If I have harmed anyone in any way
Either knowingly or unknowingly through my own confusion
I ask their forgiveness. If anyone has harmed me in any way
Either knowingly or unknowingly through their own confusion
I forgive them. And if there is a situation I am not yet ready to forgive,
Through my own confusion
I forgive myself for that. For all the ways that I harm myself, negate, doubt, belittle myself
Judge or be unkind to myself through my own confusion
I forgive myself.
(Thanks Sybil…this one is so precious to me!)

How do I live my dreams when I’m in constant pain?
Question:
I live with a chronic illness that causes me to be in constant pain. How do I live the life of my dreams when I’m in pain and exhausted not to mention broke because most of my money goes to paying for medical bills?
Answer:
Oh honey, I so relate to this situation. I truly do. I’ve lived with multiple chronic illnesses for over 20 years and I know, first hand, how draining, debilitating, depressing and discouraging it can be. There are days I’ve wondered if I can go on. And, in fact, some days I haven’t. Geez, even brushing my teeth has been more than I could handle. And I can tell you I wish I could take away all of that for you.
Simply wave a magic wand and you would be doing cartwheels in the street and living life to the fullest.
I don’t know the details of your situation so I don’t know what what types of healing and support you may have already tried.
I do know I believe in miracles…I’ve experienced them in my life and have seen and read stories of others from around the world. And, although I still have chronic pain, almost daily, I’ve discovered many helping hands and techniques in my journey to a passionately powerful life. And yes, there are still days when I curl up and wonder if I will make it.
Some resources to check into…
I also know I’ve received the best care and most relief from what are, in the United States anyway, considered alternative healing methods. Here are a few things you could look into:
- Theta Healing
- Bioenenergetic Synchronization Technique (B.E.S.T.)
- Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
- The Human Design System
- HeartMath®
- Afformations®
- Essential oils (I know a great consultant…I love her approach AND her oils!)
- Chakra Fire
- Massage
- Meditation
- Prayer
- Chinese Medicine
- Acupunture
- Acupressure
- Holistic MDs
A few more tips…
Although some of these techniques are done by a trained practitioner, others, such as EFT, Afformations, and Chakra Fire can be studied and practiced without one (and yes, I do loving working with a trained practitioner since they have knowledge I don’t). Check out the EFT website for a ton of no-cost resources you can review, read and use to help yourself.
Although I know it is challenging, I’ve learned that changing my focus…for as many minutes, sometimes even seconds, at a time as I can…is a great starting point for healing. In fact, did you know that 17 seconds of focusing on what you DO want can be enough to start the shift? Start putting the new energetic vibration into play?
Or check your local library for a copy of The Great Little Book of Afformations and The Secret Code of Success by Noah St. John. I find his insights into how the brain works and processes information quite intriguing and have begun using the “questions instead of statements I don’t believe” approach during the past few days. I find that my energy is much better coming from this viewpoint. There is a gynormous Universal Database that does have the answer you’re looking for…if you let go and let that amazing brain of yours run around looking for a way to answer the question you asked. Here are a few samples for you to try from The Little Book of Afformations:
- Why am I so healthy?
- Why is it so easy to be pain free?
- Why does everything in my body operate so perfectly?
- Why am I so perfect?
And, one last approach I find helps (and no, I most certainly don’t remember to do this 24/7!), is to practice an Attitude of Gratitude for what IS working well or is pain free or is positive. The more I practice this, the better I feel…and sometimes it is a real stretch to do this. It may be that my little toe doesn’t hurt, or I woke up, or my hair was easy to style or… and the more I look for something to be grateful for, the more I find and the better I feel.
You might enjoy this article I wrote a few weeks ago on living the Attitude of Gratitude: To Change Your Mood, Think Like Dog! (available as both audio and text).
I’m sending healing energy and love your way….

My dream isn’t realistic, now what?
Question:
So if you flip flop back and forth and can’t seem to narrow it down exactly, then what? Just keep up with narrowing it down over and over? Does a light bulb ever pop up and you say WOW THAT’S IT? I have a problem seeing what I want to be realistic….
Answer:
Wonderful question, truly. Thanks for asking it.
Typically, yes, a light bulb will go off and you’ll know you’ve hit pay dirt ‘cuz it will feel right. You’ll get excited, feel like you’ve come home. Like this is where you belong. You’ll get that sense of knowing that defies explanation.
To get there tho’, you must ditch the word “realistic”.
Poof, gone, outta here.
Honestly. Get rid of that word. It has absolutely no place when you’re defining YOUR Kick-Butt Life.
Now that the word “realistic” is gone…what do you want?
What do you dream of? What would you be doing if that word wasn’t around?
In my experience, THAT is the thing that totally jazzes you up and gets your toes tingling. Yes?
Get totally involved with IT being in your life…get all your Beingness involved in IT. Feel IT. See IT. Taste IT. Smell IT. Experience IT.
IT may not show up immediately or may take some planning. AND that comes after getting yourself totally wrapped up in IT being part of your life.
Once you get clear on what IT feels like, deep down in your bones, then ACT. Find something that takes you toward IT, no matter how tiny you perceive the step to be.
I would love to say I can guarantee that simply feeling what you want means IT drops automagically into your life. Poof. IT’s here.
Oh if only that were the way things worked!
I CAN guarantee these things:
- IT isn’t possible if you focus on IT being realistic.
- IT isn’t possible if you don’t get clear and take ACTION toward your dream.
- IT isn’t possible if you don’t open yourself to all the signs, large and small, that show up once you get clear and drop your expectations of where IT comes from or when IT arrives in your life.
Give this a try: give yourself a vacation from being realistic and see what happens next! Whatcha got to lose?
To a life igKnighted by passionately powerful possibilities!

How can I remember my true talents & abilities?
Question:
How can I remember my true soul talents and abilities in order to more easily create pathways for my dreams to become real, and to give to myself while giving to others?
Answer:
Hi there dear one…and thank you for your question! And congratulations for realizing something very important:
that you DO have true talents and abilities.
You’ve taken the first step and that is ever so vital to your journey!
Whether you realize it or not, your true talents and abilities, the gifts you came to share, are usually hiding in plain site, right in front of you, waiting to be recognized.
How can they be hiding in plain site, you ask?
Because we rarely recognize those things that come easily to us as our unique and wonderful gifts. In fact, they are often the things we disregard or have even gotten in trouble for at some point in our lives. For me, this was a constant admonition to “be quiet”, “don’t talk so much”, don’t be so enthusiastic”, “don’t get so excited about x or y or z”.
What is it for you? What is that trait that so draws some to you and drives others nuts? There are some clues that could be hiding in plain sight.
Although there are many different ways to discover your gifts, one of the easiest ones (at least for me!) is to give this exercise a try. I’ll discuss some other ways in future posts.
Before you begin
Before you create start this exercise you’ll need to
- Set some time aside for you…quiet time uninterrupted by others , “to dos”, distractions or interruptions
You can do this exercise whether you have 1 minute or a gazillion minutes open in your schedule…what matters is your focus and your intent. You can always add to the list you create later. - Gather some paper (how about a special notebook for these kinds of exercises and ruminations?)
- Grab a pen or pencil (maybe even a couple of each…you never know how inspired you’ll be!)
Step-by-step
- Clear your mind of any other thoughts or actions
Meditation is great for this…here is the Rainbow Meditation I recorded for my subscribers
TIP: Unless I miss my bet, other thoughts, fears, ideas, or to-dos stop by for a visit. Have another piece of paper handy where you can write those down and promise to deal with them later. Then do so! - Ask to be given insight into your unique talents and abilities (this can be said out loud or in your mind)
- Start writing (or “journaling” if you prefer that word)
- Write everything that comes up, with no judgment or critique or “shoulds” or “should nots”…whether it is “small” or “large”, write it down, and include
things you loved to do as a child
things you’ve been told to stop doing
things people have told you you do well (even if you don’t think they’re’ “important enough”)
things you love to do now, whether you’re “supposed” to be doing them or not
things people are stunned that you do with such ease
anything else that pops into your mind - Write until you can’t think of anything else to write
- Now take a look at your list…
What jumps out as something you have always loved to do?
How could you incorporate that into your day…whether your professional/work life or your personal life?
What would you love to start doing right now?
So often my clients find what touches them by doing this process and doing this exercise is all it takes to get back in touch with something they’ve long forgotten was important to them or that they enjoyed. In fact, many times they find several things that they’ve overlooked in the rush of the day. If you find multiple things that are appealing , why not give the Bubble Sort a try? It is a great way to find what is MOST important to you.
To your success!

Overcoming your fear…take a baby step
We all have fears that keep us trapped in our current circumstances, yes?
OK, maybe I shouldn’t “assume” that is true for everyone and I know it is true for everyone I’ve met (hum, what does that say ’bout me, eh?).
Often those fears are because we’re seeing the big picture, thinking we have to do it ALL right now. Make a big leap, jump into the water with both feet. Take on the world in one big bite.
What if that isn’t true? What if your only job was to take 1 step, 1 little baby step? Wouldn’t that make things easier? Less frightening? Easier to handle and step into?
So often our fears are based on something that is no longer true…a message that was embedded in our brain, in our very cells, a very long time ago. And we haven’t questioned them to see if they’re still true today, when we’re all grown up and no longer reliant on someone else for our very survival.
Several years ago I saw the movie “What About Bob” and laughed ’til I ’bout fell on the floor. I’ve looked at the movie from many different perspectives…and I’ve gotten a whole new perspective by seeing how I can give myself credit for taking chances, moving forward, taking baby steps and celebrating what I HAVE done, instead of dissing what I haven’t done.
Watch this 1:11 minute clip and see if you can find a way to rewrite your viewpoint, your story, about what is happening in your world!
This part of the movie gives me the biggest chuckle every time I watch it…because everything is in how we view it, how we write our story if you will. And dear darlin’ Bob, whom some would consider positively, certifiably, nuts gives himself credit for sailing when many would not. Now isn’t that empowering!
How can you sail today? What baby step can you take toward your Kick-Butt Life? How can you give yourself credit for the many many steps you HAVE taken?
To your success!
love and light, hugs and blessings
